Oh, this was so lovely! I’m sure anybody could relate to Helena and Rowena’s dispute in the first half; and the way the pair made up in the second half is rather heart-warming. I really like how you showed that, even though their relationship is strained-Helena is rather jealous of her mother, Rowena is exasperated with her daughter-they still love and understand each other sometimes.

She was going to be on her very best behavior from now on, she promised herself- she wouldn’t give Mother any reason to change her mind.

That’s a particularly bittersweet line, knowing what ends up happening with Helena and the diadem.

Anyway, I very much enjoyed this fic! The way you’ve referenced to the other Founders in passing is great, too-how they all affect Helena that night; even those little mentions seem very in character!

Well done!

I love seeing fics portraying the parent-child relationship in such a heart-felt way. I adore the last line to pieces! :D Everything about this makes perfect sense with what we're given in canon. Well done!

I liked this very much - the mother/daughter interaction was spot on, as any daughter or mother here could confirm... You can feel their love, and it makes me wonder what happened to have their relationship take such a bitter turn later on.

Great work!

Very well done. The mother/daughter interaction feels very true to life and heartfelt. And I, too, wonder how everything went so horribly wrong later. There's so much love there.

Wonderful job. :)
