and her speech in any language carried a curious accent that belonged to nowhere. She was beautiful and strange, and there were whispers, always, about the ladies Ravenclaw, about how full of unreal ideas were their dark heads.

I just love the way you have with words. You use so many turns of phrase in this story that just feel sweet on the tongue, and there seems to be a particular rhythm to them. There are so many parts I'd like to quote!

I also love how subtle your use of the language of flowers is. It isn't the focus of the piece at the same time that it's the driving force of the deeper meanings of affection.

And your characterizations of Rowena and Helga are particularly wonderful.
