Artist's Notes: I meant to write a fic for you, I really did, but I wrote a few thousand words and found they weren’t working at all. So I hope you’re okay with receiving art instead. Anyway, you asked for “Young women in the Ravenclaw household” and “language of flowers,” so the picture implies that Helga is braiding flowers into Rowena’s hair. Helga’s basket contains a red carnation, daisies, white clover, purple lilac, and a daffodil/jonquil; so, “My heart aches for you,” “innocence, loyal love, purity, faith, cheer, simplicity,” “I promise,” “first emotion of love,” and “unrequited love/return my love.” The rune on the back of Rowena’s hand mirror is supposed to mean “wisdom, glory, joy,” though some sources differ on this. Oh, and pay attention to where the tendrils on Helga’s basket are reaching! I’d like to think Rowena uses her mirror to help her See sometimes. My apologies in advance for any and all anachronisms.
Summary: There are careless messages Helga sends that she knows Rowena will not read.
