Yep, I was at the Kick-Off. Were you able to make it? I have no idea where Chetek, WI is. I'm in Minneapolis, myself. My mom and I are walking together... we're on a team of two... "The Lengyel Ladies in Pink" -- very orginal, no? :)

How is your fundraising/training going?

Chetek is 30 minutes above Eau Claire, two hours from Twin Cities. I'm walking with my mother-in-law, we're planning a fundraiser/giving away TV for a raffle. Hopefully it works out. Other wise I made bracelets and are selling them. I've gotton generous donations so far... you?

We've had amazing success so far with our fundraising! We've had a couple of bake sales here at the U of M (where I work) with two other walkers, which did a combined total of around $1800 in sales and donations; had a silent auction earlier this month this month that made $900; and just this past weekend, we put on a big fundraising event with a few other walkers at a local golf course... we had a DJ, food, and drawings for about 25-30 prizes -- the night profitted $1650! So between my mom and I, we've only got about $1100 left to go!

I'd love to offer any suggestions or tips based on our success at the fundraising events we've done so far, if you're looking for any advice. What kind of bracelets are you making? I'm considering doing something for Mother's Day... but I'm also really looking forward to taking a little fundraising break for a bit. :)

Now I've just got to focus on starting training pretty soon....

Hey there. I am bored and looking at junk in my LJ and my question to you is: Why don't you post any cool pictures anymore?

That is all.

mmm... because I'm bad at keeping up with a journal. :) I DO have another blog on myspace ( http://www.myspace.com/fotogrrl777 ), that I write in a bit more often, and sometimes post photos in....

That, and I've just not been as inspired lately, I guess. :(

I wish I was posting more photos, too. Perhaps I will work on that...
