I hate to use this thing to RAGE twice in a row, but I just got done with my tour of the Domino City Museum, and I have to say...

It is damn horrible.

Now I'm not normally the type of scientist who gets angry over people not knowing really obscure facts of my profession. That's just a mean, nerdy thing to do. However, I can only take so much...wrong ( Read more... )

back off man i'm a scientist, icpost, trip to domino

You would think that people would start rebuilding the museums with all the insurance money inevitably involved.

It's apparently just cheaper to toss all the surviving exhibits together and call it a day. I guess the people of the city just don't care that much about archaeology...

...Unless it's Egyptian. Dunno what that's all about.

I find it unfortunate that so many museums seem to be dominated more by profit than actual interest in teaching.

Unfortunate, but necessary. Money makes the world go 'round and all that. Somebody has to get paid before I can even stick a shovel into the ground.

I've never really been to the museum. Not really my kinda place really.
Haha, you should get a job there and tell them how to do it right!

You should go sometime. You might be surprised by how interesting learning about the past is! Just..don't go to the one here.

A job, huh? I don't know, that's a bit too restricting for me. I'd probably end up sitting behind a desk all day instead of getting any field work done.

Haaa, that's true. I'd hate a job like that. The paperwork I had to fill out to get into the Pro-League was bad enough, I dunno how Midori-san does it everyday.

I know, I always get piled with paperwork for digging permits and when I actually get something out of the ground there's even MORE of it.

Luckily there's always someone else to shovel it off on in my case. I'm just not any good at that stuff.
