•Last week in New York, Mutu used Steve Nash's Showdown in Chinatown [There are pictures all over the interwebs of the event, including here and here.] to test out his surgically repaired knee and elbow. Because he's a good boy, he wore his elbow brace, but there was nothing on his knee and he scored two goals, talked to his old Inter homies, and ( Read more... )

The fan site summation of the players is hilariously snarky. (Especially the bit on Lippi and Canna, when they were ostensibly talking about Gambit.) I really need to learn Italian so I can read those kind of things in all their untranslated glory.

Is that from the same site who had the snarky comments a while back, too? We may need to keep an eye on them -- they seem amazingly like us in their attitudes sometimes, if not their language and location.

1. I'm fascinated by how blasé you are about Mutu and IRC playing in New York! No stalking? Not even a spam? *Goggles*
2. Angha is spot on with the translated fan site. "A good Semioli is like an aspirin"? It's like some ancient piece of folklore. And Vargas with the "legendary swing of the Andes", which I mistakenly read as "the legendary schlong of the Andes". Whoops.
3. *Interested* They're playing in Birmingham, eh?... hmmm.

1. What makes you think I didn't stalk? *g* My friend and I snuck into VIP seats and I got pictures with both of them, which nearly killed me with adrenalin. (I think it was yesterday that my heart rate finally returned to normal, though thinking about it right now is making it speed up again.)
2. Whereas I read Vargas as a "swig" of the Andes, more of a drink than a magical penis. If only either of those powers could help with his football!
3. Is that reasonably close to you?

1. Was there a post about it? D: I miss all the good stuff. *Pouts*
2. He's not doing that badly, surely!
3. No. XD And it's not exactly a holiday location. I will keep it in mind, however.

2. Definitely not! But magic powers never hurt, right?
3. *laughs* So it's far away and a miserable place? I hope Cesare properly appreciates you even keeping it in mind.
