•There's been a reassuring lack of panic (outside of the Romanian press, I mean) about the Mutu decision. Adi had an informal meeting with ADV and Cesare the day he found out, but has been training mostly as usual, and is also called up and expected to start in the tournament today. His lawyers sound like they're planning an appeal in civil courtRead more... )

The doctor's kind of cute. * eyes *

And wow, I only just realised that there's been all this drama at Lazio [Starting to accustom myself to Football Italia again, since it's August] - can you speculate on likely it is that LDS and Ledesma will be heading out, Martha? I saw something about Milan wanting LDS too, I have no doubt they and Fiorentina aren't the only two clubs.

the_loyal_royal can speak to that with much more authority than I but, based on last year's similar situation, the odds might not be as high as they seem. A bunch of players were frozen out a the start of last season (not allowed to train with the team, etc), and the only one who ended up leaving was Mutarelli, who had to sue Lazio to get released. In terms of the odds of them going to Fiorentina, unless Corvino's been spending all summer blowing smoke, Lotito's going to have to lower their prices a lot to get purple money -- Corvino likes both of them but, for example, €15 million for Ledemsa is outrageous, particularly since I'm pretty sure his contract expires in 2010.

Thank you, I missed almost all of that. Fifteen million's a bit mind-boggling! I wonder how Corvino gets out of bed in the mornings, being as he sometimes seems like the only sane man in his industry. It must be incredibly stressful.

I agree whole-heartedly, just reading about what he gets up to exhausts me. (I like to think he and his buddy Rino Foschi up in Turin take turns pumping one another up with anecdotes about the youngsters they've discovered, and hilarious tales of the crazy of Zampa.)

AW. AWW. The fact that the team are collecting money for Adi just kind of makes my heart explode with love. I can't imagine if ADV actually goes and sees Ambramovich but well.

And the fact that they had a dance party in the dressing room. DORKS ♥.

...Yeah, still attracted to him.

I am hopeless, Martha. Just plain hopeless.

(And: mighty *hugs* to the boys for standing by Adi during the troubles. And putting together a whip-round, no less. Bless.)

Well, if his questionable taste in female companions didn't put me off, I suppose nothing will...

ZOMG DARTH MONTY. <3

The dance party scares me, especially because given Seb's dress sense recently, I suspect it had a Flashdance theme, and that he was the instigator.
