[Kaori was visiting the flower shop again, the same place Mithos had met her a few days ago. He had followed along, because it got boring at the house after a while even if a lot of people lived there. He liked being able to go different places without anyone getting mad at him. And he likes all the plants and flowers too, but he likes the snow better. He can see all the plants he wants to back at home. It doesn't snow much there.

So he wandered out of the shop, properly bundled up because as much as he thinks the snow is pretty, he doesn't really like being cold. He got enough of that on his first day here. He quietly kicks at the snow, watching it fly everywhere and settle back to the ground.]

[It's the day after Yuan's return from the draft and while he needed plenty of sleep to recuperate, he's ready to venture out into the village again. Being trapped underground for five days gave him a newfound appreciation for fresh air and sunlight.

He slows his walk once he picks up on a familiar mana signature. ... Mithos. Yuan should probably just turn the other way, but Kratos told him Mithos was walking on crutches, now. He has to make sure that wasn't just a fluke, caused by that ridiculous prediction experiment.

So he approaches the source of the mana signature, only to see...

... A young boy?]

[He's occupied with jumping in the snow and seeing the footprints he leaves behind. He doesn't notice the strong presence of mana until it gets closer, and then he stands still in surprise. His sister taught him about mana and how everything in the world is made up of it, so he thought it was really weird that he couldn't feel it anywhere here. And he's never felt this much mana before. His eyes dart around curiously. He sees a man standing there, and he stares.

That must be most of the mana in the whole world, right? No wonder he couldn't feel it anywhere else in this village.]

[That boy... He's incredibly young, but there's no mistaking it. That's Mithos. And he's staring right at Yuan. He's staring. Yuan can't think of anything to do but stare right back.]
