You were wearing a bright yellow jacket, which matched the yellowness of the Reed cafeteria. We talked about mutual crushes on Jacob Cotten and tried to walk in straight lines on the tile. That's just always the first thing that comes to mind when I think about last year and you.
Or, when we were on the bus at Santa Clara last year on the way home, and we talked for like four straight hours, about psychology and philosophy and politics and crap. That was fun. :)
my first memory was at the manogue tourny (i think...), saturday night. bryan and i were waiting for his mom to pick us up. you were with rachel. you asked us what school we're from, and then asked if we know jacob cotten. having had the hugest crush on him at the time, i immediately got really excited and said yes. we then had a brief jacob party... which was crashed in about 5 minutes by the appearance of bryan's mom's car.
i think you were wearing jewelery or something like that that i really liked.
I sooooo think of your HI from last year. It's so odd because thats how we met... I guess it's not odd but... lol. I also remember your smile.. You struck me as such a beautiful kind hearted person the second we introduced ourselves to one another.
OOOOH!!! And when I was being lame and watching MTV there was this show on called the Inferno. A girl that was on the Real World named Julie looks EXACTLY like you except in her 20's with longer hair and a tan... I practically wet myself... well.. more like grinned... BUT STILL.. It just goes to show everyone has a dopleganger(sp?) somewhere in the world... AND yours is gorgeous ;)
when i first met you.... you seemed much older than a freshman. i thought that you were the judge to be honest. (lol!) i didnt know why you were talking to the competitors... so i was really wary, and trying to subtly suck up. you seemed super-duper charismatic, which made me think "YAY FOR ANYONE INVOLVED IN DEBATE!" That was evidently before i met a) fluke b) wexler c)funk-and-palosaari (cuz they're one person). And... lol, i was obviously right in saying that you're super-duper charismatic.
oh, and my second memory of you (excluding your HI itself) was when we were in the Reed courtyard and it was at night, and it was at the top of their stone architectural-god-knows-what, and we were talking to bryan, and you were telling him a whole lot about yourself, and about your parents.
I was so happy to have met some nice people when we were out in the quad... and yeah... it was sooooooooo odd though! I mean I liked Bryan and I had just met you guys and yeah... craziness.. In fact, it makes me somewhat uncomfy to think about,... riiiiiight... anyways...lol.. And that is sooooo funny about the first memory lol.. I get that a lot and I think it's REALLY amusing.. somewhat intimidating to some. And yes.. as soon as fluke removes his jacket and the room fills with the sour stench of sweat emanating from his body, opinions change.
when we walked and got ice cream at rite aid and walked to the library. We were talking about the book "Am I Blue?" which is still incredible, by the way. We talked about philosophy and how stupid medicine is and psychology. It was good. That was fun. Sorry I can't remember more of that day... I think that was the day I left my bike at your house and did get it until about three months later though.
yes... that's a memory that i also hold really special. i dont remember having gotten ice cream though. we talked about a LOT of things... which was really awesome. and then steve brown picked us up and we went to the park for his going away party.
the first time we met was at cheesestick's house. you were wearing black (DUH!) and your hair was spiked. and you were VERY energetic. we actually spoke for like 3 minutes online before that... and you told me that i should come over too. then we all played w/ a ball in cheesestick's house. i was wearing shorts that were probably too short. and i was trying to flirt with cheesestick. and failed miserably. (i shouldnt go after the uber-religious ones...)
That night that we were talking on the phone and we played the question game, and you had really really awesome questions and I really sucked and couldn't ask anything.

naw, you arent bad at that game... i'm just really good *wink*
that's funny that that would come to mind when you think of me. i dont even remember any of the questions asked during that game. i guess that might have soemthing to do with the fact that it was late at night.
i havent spoken to you in a while, mr. ken-pol nada....
