BEST current-generation het pairing in all of Naruto, in my opinion. Shikamaru & Temari are awesome people who compliment one another and become more awesome together. :)

If only Kishimoto weren't a lame-ass about deciding not to do any romance for Shikamaru. WTF dude. For sure this pairing wouldn't cause the fandom wank that NaruSaku or NaruHina would. :P

yeah, I'm inclined to agree with you; I ship them pretty hard. I'm open to most ships, but I definitely prefer these two, not least of all because of the cannon hints for them (despite what Kishi says :P).
