Oh, how much I identify with Narcissa in this fic. The fears about pregnancy, the sorrow of miscarriage, the uncertainty of how your husband must see you mixed with the joy when he touches you, when he kisses you, when he smiles upon you. You've beautifully captured all of this, and even perfectly depicted what it must have been like for the youngest sister to carry the burden of honor in a family that has tossed Pureblood traditions aside.

This fic is lovely and sad, and I can so powerfully feel Narcissa's optimism in the end, the hope that her son will bring peace and happiness to her family. It really resonates with me, especially with what we know of canon, the path that the Malfoy family takes and the courage Narcissa shows.
