Uh Oh. We Broke Reality... *OTA*

Sep 06, 2010 00:22

The cracks had been happening for some time now. Every subtle shift in time and reality was being stretched, like a rubber band being pulled taut or the seam of a shirt being stretched. As with those analogies, eventually, all the pressure on it made reality itself began to snap and then tear. Holes were punched in it, gaping ones that were ( Read more... )

Fortunately, Martini had already had several hours to contemplate what was going on. The fact he had suddenly aged about forty five years startled him, until a dawning realization came over him. He felt......sane. Not the sociopath, emotionless shell he had been last time. Now, it just seemed like the clutter from his head was gone. His thoughts had suddenly all become much more coherent and easy to follow, even if they all still ran in three different time streams.

So he was testing out his new power, ecstatic over finally having his vision under control, when he saw Tabby would shortly be screaming for him. So he shuffled slowly down the hall. That was the one disadvantage, all the aches, pains, and general slowed level of activity that came with being old. Why couldn't he still be young, attractive, and sane? "Tabby, I swear to God, I didn't do it." Good God. Mark thought he sounded like he had eaten gravel for breakfast.

Mark shrugged in a decidedly Martini-like fashion. Somehow, he just couldn't get worked up enough to freak out. "Everything will all work out in the end. Trust me on this." The advantage of being old is that what would normally just sound like his usual advice for everyone to chill out suddenly now seemed wise and very zen.

"May I also just say you look freaking adorable, Tabs." Of course, that wasn't to say he couldn't suddenly revert right back to his usual self.

The first thing that Cat noticed when she woke up and slid out of bed was that her pajama pants seemed longer and her pj top was looser. Without even a glance at her vanity mirror, she left her room so that she could make her way to the kitchen and get some heavily sugared caffeinated goodness into her system. Part way there, she realized that her hair seemed longer and that everything seemed just a bit...off. She broke into a run, only stopping when she found a mirror hanging in the hallway. Looking at her reflection, she froze, noticing that she was not only shorter than previously, but her usually dyed hair had returned to it's original brown and that she was all around younger, thirteen at best.
"Oh. My. God. This isn't funny!"

Ric was scowling at everyone and anyone that passed him by, well as much as a kid could pull of a scowl without looking like he'd had his football confiscated and told to go to bed with no dessert. His tshirt hung off of his small frame, hair longer and lighter now compared to what he was used to and he'd had to rummage in his drawers till he found a pair of Bobby's old shorts which though big were at least had a draw string waist.

"Hah! That has to be the understatement of the year." Shoving the sleeve back up on his tshirt Ric cursed the fact that now he was back in his fourteen year old body for some reason he was also skinny, lean and back to his dork days. Dammit!

Cat looked at him, closed her eyes, and sighed slightly. "Well, at least I'm not the only one who got chibified. Do you know if anyone else got whammied or if we're the only ones? 'Cause if it's just us, that sucks mightily."

"I've seen a couple of other faces around though to be honest most of them were younger and I kept myself to myself so I don't think we're the only ones. Though don't hold me to that okay?!" Ric crosses his arms and nods in irritation before his eyes go wide as he realises his shorts are wiggling down. He grabs hold of them and scowls more.

"I need clothes."

Scott stretched as he began waking up, watching the ceiling once he opened his eyes with a smirk present on his face. He didn't recall following someone home or even making it to his own. Frowning, he sat up and carefully slid out of bed.

His suit was gone, so he dressed in a t-shirt and jeans he found. And he didn't hesitate to take the thirty dollars in a wallet that was sitting on the dresser before he left the room, hoping to run into whoever's place this was.

Scott glared at the sight of his brother. "What the hell... Why are you here?"

"Dude where else would I me?" Al caught the glare, he remembered being on decent terms with the Scott here, but that glare was pure hatred. "Whoah Scott really I just got up, haven't had coffee yet, go bitch at warren for pissin in your wheaties okay?"

Mitzy woke with a start, blindly reaching over to shut off her iPod alarm clock but suddenly stopped when she looked at her suddenly large hand. With wide-eyes, she rolled out of bed and rushed over to her mirror, screaming at the new sight. She...She was a guy? How did...? She then started to poke her body randomly wondering if this was real and thinking whoever did this to her was seriously going to get a full-blow pack of hives and pimples.

It was the sun that told them this wasn't home. When the twins opened their eyes and saw the light hitting them, they stared into it for a full second before the pain overrode their curiosity and they looked away, rubbing watery eyes and meeting each other's as they cleared ( ... )
