It took a moment for her to calm down, the wooden blades fell back into her sleeves, she'd put them back in the guards later.
Since her back was turned to him she was able to put her polite default smile back on before turning. "It probably is not that wise to sneak up on me." She grinned a little more. "Though it's probably time that I stopped practicing. Or I'll have Martini worried I'm over doing it."
Penelope gave a sheepish grin as she came out into view. Holding up the camera in her hand. "I hope you don't mind. You looked so serene." but now she had to admit Ashley's face looked troubled.
Cautiously she moves closer "Are you alright?" she offers a gentle smile as she blows a stray strand of hair from her face.
Ashley tucked the hair from her face and looked up hearing the voice.
"Huh, yeah, I'm alright, just my mind reminding me things I'd rather keep buried." She rubbed the back of her neck. Really thought I was the only one out here."
"I'm all over the place. Restless I guess." she wandered over and sat down beside Ashely. She wouldn't pry about what things. Penelope had her own secrets. She let others tell her in their own time instead of pushing.
"I understand that feeling all too well." She smiled a little.
"And you could say that. Fighting my own demons is more like it." She ran her hand through her hair. "It's a mixed art. One of the ones that the Druids didn't mind me practicing when I went back to the Order. Helps to clear my head actually."

"It's to keep my neutrality. Even though I'm not with the Order, it's still my duty to be a keeper of the peace."
