Alex had just finished setting up the sound equipment and was actually impressed at the decorations Ashley had done.

Just to be an ass first song he played and cranked up was Pink's "Let's get the party started".

Scott glanced in the direction of the music as he went to take a sip from the drink. When he heard the song, he sent Alex a look. "Seriously?" Scott called.

There's just a cocky grin from him as he changed the song over to something a little softer.

"That's a little better." He shook his head before taking a drink.

So this was the place. At least, Mark hoped it was. The nice ninja girl had told him the house was big, but he hadn't been expecting something the size of a small housing block. Just another reminder he wasn't in L.A. anymore. And boy, did it sound noisy.

He just let himself in and walked through the large yet strangely empty house, heading for the sounds at the back. Looks like there was a party going. Martini grinned. He did so love a good party, and made a beeline for the table with drinks on it.

((OOC: Yes, I and Alex-mun have the same PB for our characters. We've talked. Feel free to have your characters confuse the two, although to be fair Mark is 11 years older than Alex, so it shouldn't happen too much.))

Penny sat on one of the lounge chairs nearby. Was she really up for a party? Probably not. She was never a party person. Even with who her father was and how often they'd gone to charity events and awards ceremonies, Penny didn't know how to handle herself during a party.

So, she had one of her new laptops with her and had taken it apart. Oh, yes. She was just that much of a geek. new memory cards were being added, new video and graphics cards. It wasn't the same laptop she'd bought before and it wasn't going to be even remotely similar when she was finished.

"Oooh. What'cha doin'?" Mark had appeared suddenly by the side of Penny's chair, looking with curiosity at the all little bits and pieces scattered around her. He set his beer down on the ground and picked up a random chip.

He flipped it from finger to finger as he looked over the other components. "So are you like super smart? Or just like taking things apart? Or maybe you like chips? I like chips, but only the kind you eat, not these kind. I tried eating one once, but it didn't taste very good. I like shiny things. Oh, by the way my name is Martini. And what's your favorite color? And your name?" After saying that entire spiel in pretty much one breath, Martini expectantly looked at Penny, waiting for an answer.

"Making the laptop better. Not that they sold me a crap one." It was about a minute before she said that. The whole spiel was slowly processing in her mind. When it finally did, she answered the rest of his questions with a smile. And she didn't care that he was holding a chip. She had several more in her room just like it.

"I graduated from MIT at 18 so I guess that makes me super smart. And I like taking things apart. Chips are fun, especially the edible kind. Oh, hey! I should tell you about the time my mom and dad ordered a birthday cake shaped like a microchip. And shiny things are awesome. My favorite colors are red and gold and my name is Penelope Stark."

He was going to be an interesting one, wasn't he?

After her chat with Martini, Penny took her laptop to her room, intent on dropping it off. She wasn't aware she'd left parts behind and she was even less aware that she'd dropped her room key on the way so, cue one frustrated Penny at her door, trying to shuffle computer parts and search her pockets for her keys.

Alex had noted Penny had slipped away and put music on shuffle before slipping away for a little while.

On the way to follow her he found her keys, snagging them up he made it to the door as she was shuffling things around.

"You missing something?" He held up the keys as he reached out with his other hand catching her laptop before it fell.

Her hero. That laptop was almost to where she needed it for the programs she was going to run and if she dropped it and it got damaged. . . It's not like she couldn't fix the thing. Pppsh. She could probably fix it in her sleep. It's just now something she wanted to do.

"Yes! Thank you so much. I didn't realize I'd left them behind." She finally managed to get the stuff shuffled enough so she could take her keys and get her door open. "You wanna come in? It'll take me a moment to get stuff sorted. I'm...still in the process of organizing."

Not that her room was a mess. It was actually pretty organized already. Penny just gets to a point during projects where she doesn't want to get up from her work and wants everything she'll need close by.

Alex chuckled a little. "Actually I think you dropped them, I saw them on the way here." He followed her into the room when she invited him.

"You're still organizing? Any cleaner and I'll feel like I should be in a hazmat suit." He grinned at her making it clear he was joking. "Was worried something upset you when you left."

Satisfied and happy Crystal had perched herself in a spot on the patio where she could watch as the others wondered about the patio. She was especially happy with Tandy and her's set up of the food, which made her smile every time she saw someone pick up a piece of food.

Tandy shot Crystal a grin and a quick thumbs-up from across the patio; people were flocking to the food table, a fact that Tandy counted as an accomplishment on her and Crystal's part.

Crystal grinned back and waved, then skipped along over to Tandy.

"How you doing?"

"Fantastic." Tandy replied, still grinning. "You?"

And here's Warren showing up with a grin. He had to admit, Scott had done well getting everything together. He would have had it fully catered, but that was just because he liked showing off.

Mark spied Warren, and made a mental note to do something nice for Ashley later on. Having time-manipulation powers came in handy at moments like this. He suddenly appeared behind Warren and glomp tackled him to the ground, shouting out, "FEATHERS!!!" at the top of his lungs.

And here's a cough sputter gasp whoah did he drink from his beer at the last moment because before the bottle fell it spilled over the front of his silk shirt.

Who the.. "Damn it get off of me Mark! I'm not damn Feathers." Though he's trying hard not to laugh. Really hard... Oh there's a chuckle in there somewhere really.

"Okay. Just one second..." Martini plucked a long, fluffy feather out from one of Warren's wings, sliding it behind one ear. Really, it was more a sign of affection than anything else.

He got up and offered a hand to Warren, who was still on the ground. "So, my feathery friend, looks like you've been playing landlord."
