Yep. They hired...a French teacher. Which should not have been a surprise to either me or them (because the two teachers leaving were both French teachers), but, well. It kind of was, especially since they told me repeatedly since March they would hire me. Sigh. Back to the job hunt!

I hereby declare today as the official WTF!?! day.
Tomorrow i'll know if they end my contract or not. =/

I can't fault them for their decision, because it made good business sense. I fault them for *telling* me they were going to hire me (for months!) and then not being able to because I'm not in the subject area they need. They actually told me that if I could hold on for another year, they'd hire me for sure (two of their teachers are retiring in June). But, well, I'm not so sure I trust that now.
