I KNOW. I was standing next to some Trekkies who were bitching that between the hat and the glasses, they couldn't decide if he'd make a good Spock or not. ('Cuz, you know, looks are the ONLY thing that matters. Screw acting ability.) The eyebrows are still not in good shape, but they're coming back.
I went back and stalked him at the end of his second autograph session, when there were hardly any other people around. He was still being really nice to everyone, despite having spent 3 hours surrounded by us crazy people - he even took a cell phone from a guy and left a voicemail for one of the guy's friends who's a fan. I got better pictures, though! I shall try to put them up tomorrow.
Zachary really does seem nice. Who knows, he could secretly be hating every minute of this...but I got the impression that he genuinely appreciates the fact that people are fans of what he's done, and that he's happy to make us happy. In fact, the staff were trying to shoo everyone away so that they could set up for Adam Baldwin, but someone walked up with a ticket and he signed for her anyway even though the woman was like "He's done! And LOL at Masi and Nate Torrence! That's so random and awesome and just *flails* frickin HILARIOUS!! XD I wanna see Masi have a full-on geek!out someday! *bounce*
Dude...I think I would go to a con just to see Masi, at this point. He was really fun to listen to. The best moment with him? Before they brought Masi and Nate out, they told the audience, "Masi's here to talk about Get Smart, not Heroes, and he knows nothing about the third season of Heroes, so don't ask, 'kay?" So what does the very first person at the mic ask him about? Yep, that's right: "what's gonna happen in S3 of Heroes?"
But what was GREAT was that Masi told her, "Don't know, haven't seen the scripts" and then he turned to look at Nate (which meant he was looking in my direction) and did this wonderful WTF? facial expression, accompanied by a little shake of his shoulders. It was so great. I wanted to kiss him right at that moment. I may have to go get some Masi icons.
Aaaahhhh!!! I'm so excited for you. That's so awesome. Zach is the nicest guy. He's just so sweet and awesome. Yay, you got an autograph! Did you get a picture with him? Maybe tomorrow, huh? Yay, again!!!
I didn't get a picture with him, though the girl I rode with on the shuttle bus here happened to be in line next to me and is trying desperately to talk me into it. But my curly hair hasn't recovered from the winter frizzes, and I've been sucking cough drops non-stop for this cold & the sugar has made my face break out...I'm afraid the picture will be depressing rather than cool.
He really does seem incredibly sweet, which was what I'd heard from everyone else, but it's still nice to have it confirmed in person. I'm frankly thankful that I didn't pass out in front of the table! :0)
He wore that damn hat all weekend. He had another autograph/photo session at 9 am this morning, and the hat was omnipresent. I'm not sure if he's trying to make a fashion statement, or if he's still not happy with the state of his hair.
I am quite depressed as the vast majority of the ones I took during his Q&A aren't worth keeping (I knew they wouldn't be, as the lighting was baaaaad and I didn't have anything to rest my arms on to keep them steady). Also? He would not hold still. But there are a couple of decent ones I'm going to reduce and post later.
