An open apology to Zachary Quinto's wardrobe

Sep 29, 2007 18:34

Because it's getting cold again, and because I've lost a little weight, I've been digging through some boxes of clothing pulling out things I haven't worn in a while.  And I realized that sometimes my judgment in clothing has been considered...ah...questionable, by my friends.  And even on occasion by myself.  So, to remind myself that perhaps I ( Read more... )

OH MY GOD I HAD A PURPLE VELVET COAT TOO! It had multi-coloured flowers embroidered on it, too. I miss that damn coat.

My mum and gran came back from their holidays today and brought me a very Mohinder/Sendhil scarf. I should post pics of that when I finally get the courage to photograph the Boom coat.

My purple coat was just plain. But it was purple! And I loved it! *sniff*

Just don't combine the Mohinder scarf with the Boom coat. That has the potential to be...disturbing. :P

Me and my collection of solid-colored t-shirts, remarkably unremarkable button-down shirts and standard-issue jeans look upon your wardrobe in big-eyed horror! Also, that second paragraph? Exactly the kind of friends certain people need to reign in his (or her! I could be talking about anyone!) repeated fashion insanity.

I also have a large number of solid-colored t-shirts, one of which I will be wearing tomorrow to watch the football game with friends. And if I were to photograph all the black things in my closet, we'd be here all night. But sometimes, man, sometimes you have to just be adventurous and drink the chai!

I am pretty that if I go through the great and vast catalog of chai-related stories I know, I would be forced to come to the conclusion that one should, in fact, never drink the chai... it never ends well. Unless waking up bound and groggy to an angry Indian geneticist, with a mind for torture, is your thing. Hmmm...

May I remind you that we are TEAM SYLAR? If that's not your thing, there may be a problem...

Oh, you should see how many black things I own! Neil Gaiman once said that his wardrobe is all black because he doesn't have to try to match colors that way. A very seductive philosophy. ;0)

I kind of go through phases. I wear boring plain things and then break down and wear something outrageous, but everyone's so used to seeing me be plain that it freaks them out. And then I get nervous about wearing the outrageous things, and wearing boring plain things...

Aww, I love the green skirt. So pretty.

It's like a rainbow of clothes!!! Zachary would approve :)

I actually do like the skirt even though it raises eyebrows, but it's surprisingly formal-looking. I wear it to a restaurant and I feel overdressed. Also it's HARD to find a shirt that really looks good with it.

I will admit, the orange dress was one of those things that SEEMED like a good idea at the time...

Your wardrobe is awesome. I only question the bra-revealing orange dress, because I consider orange to be the anticolor (some people can rock it, though), and the pattern frightens me. To cover the back... a little knit shrug? Or are shrugs too six months ago?

Funny, I've been working on some clothing-related posts recently, too.

Well...I should admit now that a huge percentage of my wardrobe is basic black. But thank you for the compliment for the portion that has actual color. ;0)

The orange color in that dress works. Sort of. In an odd sort of way. But it's incredibly hard to find a color that will go with it. Except of course for black, but then I feel like I'm trying to be a giant Hallowe'en decoration.

Or are shrugs too six months ago?
I'm not sure anything can be too Six Months Ago.

Oh, wait, that's not how you meant it...

Cream or brown? I have an orange plaid skirt that I wear with brown T-shirts.

I'm not sure anything can be too Six Months Ago.

What about... Chylar? Mwah hah hah...
