I've been playing around with the iTunes new (to me) Genius DJ thing, which is where you pick a song in your Library and iTunes makes a playlist of similar songs based on... whatever info it gathers and compiles when you add new music and click "Update Genius". These random songs keep popping up and making me go, "What is that and where did I get it?" I searched every fanmix in my collection for that TV on the Radio song before I realized it was one of yours. Needless to say, I kind of love it. Right now it is playing between Interpol and Limp Bizkit in a mix based on a Red Hot Chili Peppers song. One embarrassing group aside, that's pretty good musical company where I stand.
Similarly, the first time the Heiruspecs song got shuffled into a Genius mix, I just assumed it was one of those Little Brother songs my friend who is really into Little Brother gave me. But it sounded so old-school and kind of like The Roots that I was like, "I don't think that's them." Again, I had to find it in the Library, and then was ( ... )
