A light, trilling melody danced in the air in Asmodean's chambers. Sitting on the edge of his bed, his fingers danced with the music on the flute. Lanfear would be here soon enough, and with that his playing would end for a time

"We need to know more," she says, standing up and brushing down her already-smooth skirts.
"Including how long she has been with him. Her name, what she looks like... I do not want to miss anything potentially vital. Shall we meet again in a few days with anything new?"
Her mind is already ahead of the conversation. She never did manage to get a person on the inside of Ishamael's staff, but there are other ways around that. And possibly a discreet word with Mesaana - that fits with her earlier plans in any case.
Asmodean nodded calmly as he poured wine into a goblet, before leaning calmly against the counter. He knew what she looked like, but it would be interesting to see what Lanfear managed to acquire, and from whom, of course.
"Yes, I believe that we shall. I will have my resources move, though quietly. It would not do to make noise about this."
A long sip of his wine. This was certainly creating interesting opportunities for them to exploit. A curious development for them both, and if Lanfear would move for him, then much of the risk could be absorbed by her.
"Likewise, Lanfear. Hopefully, we will have much to discuss."
Asmodean watched carefully as she opened a gate to leave. He had to be careful with her for her power was incredibly strong. Stronger than his.
He said nothing as he watched the portal snapped shut behind her. He had much to think about as he picked up his flute and resumed where he had left off.
"Good evening, Asmodean."

She turns to him and smiles, bright, beautiful and cold as ice.

She turns around before seizing saidar and opening a portal to an elegant garden where the late afternoon sun is still faintly shining.
A fascinating opportunity indeed.
