Quitting

May 12, 2010 08:45

24 hours.... 4 Cigarettes total smoked.
Ate double what I normally eat.
More impatient, more angry.

Is the destabilizing attitude and inevitable weight gain worth it? I mean, I really shouldn't worry about the weight gain given that... well, you guys know... but meh.

You must find some other compulsion to satiate or manage the withdrawal.
You should be concerned about the weight gain if one of your reasons for quitting is to improve quality of life.

by the way,
I miss you.
And I'd love to hug ya when you don't smell like tobacco smoke.

I gained 2 pounds in a week. It was pretty crazy.

Pick up exercising while you quit. In addition to battling the weight gain it will also give you a way to release your increased aggression and a source of increased endorphins. Even if it's something as simple as prolonged drumming on Rock Band or DDR. Just pick up your heart rate and burn off some energy.

On a side note, Christina says that you're such a nice guy she "can't imagine [you] being all 'grr' a bouncer anywhere." Thought that might amuse you :-)
