WHAT THE HELL.

WHAT. THE. HELL.

WHAT THE FUCK MAN.

When I was in school the most expensive field trips were to some camp thing in elementary school and to carowinds in middle school. Which were both LAST YEARS IN SAID PLACES. Any other field trips were like to the orchestra or other kinds of stuff. Nothing big. Nothing huge.

Man... Most of my field trips were to local places that were free, or at least super-cheap for school groups. We went to a celery farm and it was a big deal.

The biggest things ever was the trip to Carowinds which is a local themepark. Otherwise there was some camp that all schools do because it's a camp.

But yeah. What's a kicker even is that he also had a HALLOWEEN WEEKEND. I never ever. EVER. heard of something like that. When did Halloween become a religious holiday for schools to cancellll.

I don't have any younger siblings, but my friends who do are always telling me about how the same's happening to them. 8(

D8 What is with school systems. Do they think throwing away money is good? I mean, yes, parents/guardians have to pay for the majority of the trip but there's also the cost of insurance, the transportation, the food, the cost for teachers and other chaperones nevermind possible materials if you have special lectures at said field trips.

So it just...boggles me. I mean. Average middle-class parents can't afford these things ALL THE TIME for one and the school has to pay for whatever else which is not cheap. It's not like it's a private school either. I could sorta understand it if it were a private school.

Yea, I have no idea what the school boards are thinking. It's like school's become more entertainment than educational. 8|
