I miss desiringsubject and imvfd. It's good that they'll be gone for another day because I need to have the house to myself a bit longer. But I miss them all the same.

It's never good when my Quicken says I only have $1.30 in the bank.
It's not true because I haven't entered several paychecks,
but it's a disheartening thing to see such a horrible number, especially
when I've just finally gotten myself to sit down and look at my bills.
$1.30. Grumble!

Ah, see, all that peaceful dreamy crap couldn't last.
I refreshed my peeps page, got one more post (thanks dreams_of_wings,
and suddenly I'm surfing around LJ land, seeing new people, taking QUIZZES!!! Sheesh!

The last thing I posted was almost a month ago, and it was terribly depressing. I've been thinking about whether or not I should keep an LJ account at all because I post so rarely anyway. I'm at work in a college writing center.
I open Explorer and the favorites dropdown menu appears.
The most recently acquired favorite is "teletubbies."
I click on it!
I find myself exploring the teletubbies website, the pictures, the slide show, the animal matching game, the hello-goodbye game...

My friends list only shows today and entries posted before March 14. Every day, when I look at my flist, I get the same problem; I can see entries from that day and entries from March 13 and earlier.

Suggestions? Explanations?

My girlfriend, desiringsubject, is a brilliant, generous, articulate, patient woman and legitimately self-satisfied this evening. She's listened to me, encouraged me, and contributed to some of my best life-decisions. I love her. I'm in love with her. I had no idea what a prize I was getting when she agreed to be part of my life.
