I really am entering uncharted waters for myself. I don't think this is supposed to be the case for someone over 30. I hope it comes off a quaint, and not sad.
If you're in uncharted waters, do you at least have a compass? A bearing?
While I'm curious (as always) to know specifics, I can say this in the general sense:
Don't worry too much about what/where you're "supposed to be at 30". You are where you are, and comparisons will get you nowhere (I know, I should really take my own advice).
Personally, I find some of those "quaint" things about you rather endearing. And if it comes off as "sad" to whomever - do you really want their pity in the first place?
