It's been on my to-do list since I was 16. I mean, I don't have to check it off immediately, but I'm beginning to understand that I need to live somewhere different for a while and saying, "I'm living in San Francisco for a month" just sounds... lame. Ish? I dunno. It's a HUGE maybe. HUGE HUGE HUGE. It all depends on what I can finagle financially, because I'm also planning to buy a townhouse/condo/something next year. But I want to be sure to try something totally different first, and I figure if I can make it Europe, I can make it anywhere. Or it may at least provide me with some fresh perspective.

On the Julia Roberts/Elizabeth Gilbert front: When I was explaining the situation to a friend he referenced that book/movie, and I've neither seen nor read it. But I get the sense that a lot of people will be making the reference. I wasn't even aware I was doing something similar.
