Yes, I was taken aback by the entire thing. I stand in awe of how quickly and easily my problem was taken care of. It feels almost too good to be true. But here I am, back home doing my thing.
Thanks! I'm still truly astonished at how quickly and easily they fixed my problem. I've done some research, and the stent thing has been around since the 1980s, so it's routine.
I'm glad to hear you're doing well. Angioplasty was quite a remarkable discovery.
I don't believe I've ever had spaghetti with a baked potato before. Neither tends to leap to mind when I think of the other. But then, I've never been to Pennsylvania. Maybe it's standard there.
Thanks for your comments. No, it's not a Pennsylvania thing. I was HUNGRY, and it was on the menu, so in the conversation on the phone with the hospital's food service, I asked for it and they brought it. And by god I ate EVERYTHING. It all was surprisingly delicious, especially the brownie. Moist, fresh, sweet. The coffee was like how I prefer my women: hot and black. No, I kid.
The best parts of being in Allentown is its proximity to Manhattan (two hours on Transbridge bus to Port Authority), and the truly fabulous park system. Lehigh Parkway is a five minute walk from my apartment, and there's also Trexler Park, and the Rose Garden. Nothing like Ischia, though. I'm heading back on September 1 for my yearly month-long visit.
