So, say someone was thinking about trying to start a vegetable garden in their room.

Anyone have any suggestions on what that guy should do? Or want to help out, maybe? Figure I probably need to build some sort of area for it and fill it with dirt at least, but....

[He trails off.]

I'll meet you on Deck 12 in an hour then.

[And in an hour, he will be going down to do just that! Though he has had some alcohol, but he's not drunk.

He didn't trip on that last step promise.]

[He's found a convenient steamer trunk to sit on, and is examining the offending limb, when his exploration partner shows up. He rolls the pant leg back down, watching that not-a-trip with a raised eyebrow.]

Mind the stairs.

[Steamer trunks are awesome chairs, and Gunn makes it over to Gavin without incident, even offering a hand to him should he want to get up.

He doesn't comment about the scars on the leg.]

Tricky bastards, those stairs. [He grins.] Hope you haven't been waiting too long.

[He takes the offered hand, also without comment, aside from a proud man-nod of thanks, and hauls himself up.]

Someone should beat sense into them. [He shakes his head.] Nah, not too long.

You'd think the feet would do the job.

[After hauling Gavin up, Gunn lets his hand go, glancing around and shoving his hands into the pockets of his jacket.]

Good. Any idea where we should start? Figure line is just about as important as a rod and reel.

Nah, feet are too nice on them.

[He shrugs, taking a step back to look around better.]

Anything that looks like a tackle box, I guess. If there's even hooks on this ship.

Not fond of feet, are they then.

[Gunn resists a snicker.]

Well, we can make hooks if it comes to it. [He starts moving down the hallway, at a slower pace than he'd normally walk. Don't comment on it, Gavin.] Hell, we could make line if we needed to. But a rod and reel are important.

I wouldn't be.

[He follows, not willing to say anything about the pace, even if it's not for his benefit.] You could always make those, too, theoretically.

We could, but it'd be a lot easier if we could find everything but the hooks at least, right?

[Gunn looks at the doors, hoping to find a sign that says 'fishing supplies' or the like.]

Yeah, that's true... could always try the things out on the cave-fish, too.

[He shifts a little, nudging at luggage with his bad foot.]

The cave fish! I forgot about those, actually.

[He seems to contemplate it.]

We could use nets on those guys instead, too.

[And cue his own thoughtful pause...]

If not nets... you can always make some out of nylons.

[forgivemesister]

...Nylons might be easier to find. Nylons and tennis rackets, maybe?
