So the big lug finally showed up, huh?

[ PAUSE. ] Hold up. You can't earthbend anymore?

[ Yes, that's the important element. ]

Are you sure they're going to give it back when you go home? Because, geez, Twinkletoes. That's kind of a big deal.

Appa's kind of a big deal!

Of course they will. I told them it was only for my duration here and it doesn't sound like they can influence all that much back home. Besides, I'll still be able to.

...I just have to remaster the Avatar State.

[seesbydoing]

[ Considers this and then waves a hand, sighing. ] I hope you know what you're doing.

[ Appa is important, though. Especially to Aang. So she's not really that surprised. It's sweet, kinda. ]

I thought you already did the Avatar State thing.

I do. In the end, it wasn't the Avatar State and all of the training that helped me defeat the Fire Lord. It was because I cared about people and I didn't want to kill anyone that I was able to stop him.

I did but I think it's different here because we're in a different world. But we're still in the universe so I can still go into the state, I'm just not sure what it will be like.

[ She lifts her eyebrows and neglects to mention that she's kinda impressed with his maturity. ] That'll be something to feel in person, I bet.

...I didn't think about that. Who knows what would happen in this weirdo place? Better make sure we have Sweetness around just in case you need to be talked out of it.

[He learned a lot about himself when he was taught energybending and was able to hold off the Firelord's energy.]

We should have everyone there, just to be on the safe side.

We can worry about later. Right now, let's focus on Appa being with us again! Want to go flying with us?

No offense to Appa, but flying around blind isn't my favorite thing in the world.

But Toph...Appa's really missed flying around with everyone.

[seesbydoing]

[ aldjklaf Aang what's with that tone of voice. ]

But it hasn't been --

Oh, fine. Just for a little while.

[Aang becomes the incredible changing man. He goes from "Pleease D:" to "Hoorah! :D" in less than a second. Grabs a hold of her hand and leads her over to Appa.]

Woohoo!

[ She sighs loudly but that's mostly for show. You are such a pain, Aang. Sort of. ]

Just a short ride, I said. It's not like there's very far to go in this City anyway.

[ But she'll let herself be helped up onto Appa. ]

Yip!Yip! Let's go, Appa!

[Appa roars and this time it sounds like a happier roar. It doesn't take long for the two of them to start to descend from the sky. Aang is still holding onto her hand, but it's not something he's even fully aware of. He knows that flying can be hit or miss for her, and he wants her to feel comfortable on Appa.]

Isn't this great, Toph?

This is --

[ Not an experience she missed, believe her. Well, the wind is nice, and it's... kinda cool that Aang is holding her hand because she knows he's trying and it's sweet in his dorky way. And hey, there are worse things than reuniting with Appa. He does seem happy. ]

Yep, still pretty bad. But hey, there are worse things. [ She grins at him. ]
