Summary: Junsu is the most typical guy you could find in the extraordinary underwater world of Insa, but his routine boring lifestyle is shattered when Jaejoong literally drops in from the sky.

Junsu was walking at the rear of the group, trying to get as far away as possible from Jaejoong and his inexplicable feelings for him, when he saw Jae fall in.
It seemed to happen in slow motion, and yet he couldn’t seem to move a muscle.
He saw Kikwang run and jump in after him and soon emerge downstream, shaking his head to try and move his wet hair from his face, the limp body of Jaejoong clutched in his arms. He saw Doojoon and Heechul help pull them both out. He felt the hot pang of jealousy that ran through him like a electric shock as Kikwang began to give Jaejoong CPR, his mouth molding to those perfect lips that Junsu so desperately wanted to touch, his hands pumping life back into that chest that he so desperately wanted to feel.
It was only when Jaejoong began to cough and splutter did Junsu remember that he had legs. He flew towards the small cluster of people that had begun to gather around Jaejoong, joining the growing crowd just as Jaejoong managed to open his eyes a bit.
He looked blearily up at Kikwang, obviously not able to focus or recognize any of the faces around him, and muttered, “Junsu...wings...really are...pretty cool.” And with that, he passed out again.

Junsu paced back and forth in the same hospital room Jae had woken up in the first time around as he waited for him to regain consciousness yet again. It had been several hours, and most of the group had to disperse for some reason or another. Once again, it was just him, Changmin, Yunho (who had yet to leave the hospital since Jae had seen him enter), and Yoochun, who had ditched his most recent date (some pushy bitch named Sunny) and rushed to the hospital once Heechul had told him what had happened.
Exactly four hours and 26 minutes after they arrived at the hospital (Junsu had been looking at his watch every few seconds, even though he had told himself that he was being absolutely ridiculous), Jaejoong returned to reality. He opened his eyes, and looked around the room, eventually focusing on Junsu, who was leaning against the far wall.
The feeling of those warm, confused brown eyes looking at him froze Junsu to his spot on the wall. The weight of that gaze both terrified him and melted his heart into a little puddle of goo in the center of his chest at the same time.
Seriously, all these damn feelings were going to be the death of him.
Jaejoong stared for a bit before asking, voice a little hoarse, “Junsu...were you the one who saved me?”
The unexpected nature of the question unfroze Junsu. He gaped at Jaejoong, and answered, “What? No...that was Kikwang...”
Jaejoong’s face fell, and Junsu wondered why he would possibly be disappointed what that. Kikwang had saved his life, after all.
Yoochun spoke up now, looking more annoyed than worried at Jaejoong’s latest plight. “Jae, I really thought that you would have learned your lesson by now...Jaejoong plus deep water equals disaster. The math is simple enough, and I know for a fact that you got A’s in all of your math classes at Uni.”
Jaejoong smiled weakly, looking up at the Yoochun, who was towering menacingly over his hospital bed. “I guess I never took a class in common sense at Uni, right?”
Even Yoochun had to laugh at that. “No, you didn’t. That would explain your tendency to be an idiot at important times.”
As he said that, Junsu noticed that Jaejoong’s gaze slid over to meet Junsu’s. For the second time in as many minutes, Junsu had to look away before his legs decided to give out under him.
Changmin was the one who saved Junsu this time. “So, Jaejoong...what happened back there at TPL? I heard from Heechul that you passed out?”
Jaejoong suddenly sat up, not seeming to notice when the rest of them all stepped back in surprise at the abrupt movement (apart from Junsu, who couldn’t have stepped back even if he had tried). He looked from one person to another, ending up with Changmin, who was still looking at him expectantly.
Jae rubbed his forehead before looking at Junsu again. “I remembered something.”
Changmin leaned forward eagerly. “You remembered something? Really? What triggered it?”
Jaejoong was still looking at Junsu when he replied. “We were at TPL, and I remember Junsu saying something about wanting wings...”
Yunho interrupted, his voice incredulous, “Wings? What kind of random conversation were you guys having?”
Changmin glared at him, and Yunho decided that it was in his best interest to shut up.
Jaejoong continued, completely ignoring the interruption. “...and suddenly, I had this vision.”
He took a deep breath, closing his eyes, re-imagining the scene behind his eyelids. “I think I was a little kid, and I was in Avian territory with my mother, except even though I know I looked straight at her, I don’t remember what her face looked like...” He trailed off for a few moments, his face contorted into an expression of pain.
The part of Junsu that loved Jaejoong wanted nothing more than to rush over to his side and comfort him, but the side that was scared of the first part held him back.
Unaware of Junsu’s internal struggle, Jaejoong continued, “I remember looking up at all the Avians flying in the sky, and telling her something like, ‘I want to fly, Mama,’ and she said something about really wanting to as well, but she couldn’t...and that’s it. That’s when I woke up on the floor at TPL.”
Changmin just continued looking at him pensively, not saying a word, so Jaejoong continued.
“I was so confused. I didn’t know what had just happened, so I decided to go outside to clear my head. I was wondering about how I came to be in Avian lands even though I’m a Vanex, and then I fell in the channel. I remember...waking up for a bit, and someone was kissing me...I guess it was Kikwang?”
He opened his eyes now, looking at Junsu with a slightly guilty expression. Junsu wondered, again, why in the world he would look at him with such an expression...it didn’t make any sense. He looked away, just then realizing that he had been staring at Jae again.
Changmin tapped his chin with a pen slowly, thinking out loud. “So the trigger was Junsu mentioning something about wings...interesting...”
He turned around so that he was facing Junsu now. Junsu looked back at Changmin, slightly afraid of the glint in those devious brown eyes. “What?” he demanded, as Changmin continued to stare.
Changmin suddenly grabbed hold of Yoochun’s arm, and steered him out of the room, saying as he went, “Come on, Yoochun, you have to help me out with something...”
Yunho followed behind him like the obedient puppy dog that he was, muttering something about helping out too.
As the door shut behind him, Junsu was suddenly aware that Jaejoong was staring at him again. He stared back this time, and suddenly realized that they were the only two people left in the eerily quiet hospital room, and those feelings that he had been trying to suppress for so long were suddenly freeing themselves from his mental control, threatening to explode in a show of passion that his rational mind desperately wanted to avoid.
