No one is asking you to stifle your laughter.

I know that as well as you do. And I wasn't suggesting as such.

Perhaps our house has more of an empathy with yours than anyone realised.

I echo Draco's sentiment. But I'm afraid you will have to forgive those of us who don't laugh along with you.

We never wanted any of your pity or sympathy directed at us to begin with. Just carry on with your merry little ways and let us be.

I don't understand this. If the other houses don't care about us, why do we affect their moods? We have been keeping to ourselves as of late and I don't understand why the other houses feel the need to make a big deal about us doing our own thing. We are going through some rough times and you know? we're so very sorry to ruin your lovely happy lives. Get over yourselves. And they call us selfish?

No, you have been keeping to yourself of late. And my taking note of what's going on hardly constitues this as a major event in the happenings of our school.

Obviously our houses aren't as ignorant of each other as we like to think, or make others think.

Would you rather me being in everyone else's lives? I don't see anything wrong with keeping to myself.

There's a difference between being ignorant of each other or choosing to ignore each other.

Parkinson, I know you're having a rough time of it but this really isn't about you. And I'm not saying that to be horrible.

No, there's not. Not in this case. We are choosing to be ignorant of the other, but it has also become quite a conditioned part of our schooling. Call it what you will, it's the same thing.
