A very satisfying chapter. Ennis' thoughts anticipating Jack waiting at his home, the passionate love making with a difference, the honest conversation over the stove. There is still quite a bit of work for these two, but like Jack, I am hopeful that they have the right combination of confidence and vulnerability to make things work this time.

You've probably guessed that I like writing passionate love making scenes that are an extension of what is going on in the story between Jack and Ennis. Porn without plot is fun too, but these guys have been so deprived of opportunities to talk with one another that I try to work in all forms of communication to show how they have grown and what kinds of challenges they are facing at the time. Good for you for catching the love making with a difference. I was hoping I wasn't being too subtle.

And yes, the guys still have a long way to go. I know I'm already on Chapter 13, but these two still have alot to say and several obstacles to overcome. Hope readers don't get too bored with all their yammerin'!

Ennis may not realize it but life is better when you have someone in it to share those little moments with. The routine of his existence described on his ride home was great and the difference he had when he got home making love and snuggling and then cooking dinner with his partner in life and the conversation yeah hard but needed. Thanks, Joe. There were so many things left unsaid between these guys in both the OS and the Film that I just had to write a story that gave them a chance to have a life together. A real home, someone to wake up to in the morning, share a thought and a homecook meal. Ennis is already growing comfortable with his sexy housemate and will soon see that he just doesn't know how he ever lived without Jack by his side.

it's so hard to imagine Ennis coming home to an empty trailer after this. This is love and joy and understanding and easy-going friendship. I so hope they never have to give this up again.
