this was delicious. rich and tasty imagery abounds. this was a marvelous short piece. i only wish it could have been longer.

i couldn't quite figure out when exactly ennis and jack had gotten together. i saw them on the mountain, then i saw them at their reunion. then you talked about their 'wasted' years and next they seemed to be together without any transition in my mind. i even reread it (what a task) three times to see if i'd missed anything and i don't think i did. but all this aside, i got lost in your rich tale.

Thanks so much, friend. I tried to thread canon into the story, but with less than 1,000 words I had to be careful not to overindulge. I was, probably much too obscurely, alluding to canon with the nightmares, tire iron reference and then the wind and the trailer in the OS. So I was refering to a 20 year gap before Ennis came around.

Gee, thanks for reading my humble story three times. I'll try to be more ambiguous in the future if that's the result. ;)

Thanks, again. Debra.

Thanks, friend.

I haven't had the chance to start reading your Teammates story yet, but I understand it's fun, sexy and extremely well developed. Of course, I wouldn't think you would create anything less. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Debra.

I had a feeling this one was written by you :) It was soooo good! I KNEW you would write just wonderfully! I'm going to count myself as one of those writers that batted her pretty eyelashes and nudged you to write, because I remember asking you why you weren't writing when your comments were just so wonderful to read! I hope you have more in store for us, because obviously you can write and I'm ready to read :)

You have been duly counted and given a great big hug for your gentle nudges and your wonderful stories. Thanks, Camilla. I really had fun writing this one. A playful Jack, a simpering Ennis and two cuddly mugs (I'm talking about the doggies now) is a pretty irresistible combination. Divine in every way. Sorta like your friendship. Thanks, again. Debra.

Thanks, Dagi. I sneaked in a few entries for the Chocolate Fest while you weren't looking. Didn't want you to think that I was avoiding my beta responsibilities with your wonderful OMFA! *wink*

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. Love, Debra.

I loved this story, it's great. God gave Ennis a big push and he got the message. Loved this when I first read it and voted for it.

Thanks very much for your lovely comment, and for your vote! I'm so glad you enjoyed my short story. Those boys can be very wicked when they put their minds to it! Yes, if only Ennis would have had some push to make him embrace another blue-eyed blessing in his life! Thank goodness for little Bluesy! Debra.
