A week after its premiere in London, the third installment of The Hunger Games films made its Los Angeles premiere at the Nokia Theatre on November 17. The look of the premiere recreated Panem's Capitol, with gold and white pillars, cauldrons of fire, armored Capitol guards, and a glossy white walkway in place of a red carpet.
My review of the film is
here.
Jena Malone, 29
The UK
Mirror wrote, "The once shy beauty, who was know for her casual jeans and jumper look, is now one hot lady - and she knows it."
On wrapping Mockingjay: Part 2, Jena said: "We will never play these characters ever again. I'm a little sad about it. It's kind of a strange thing. I.m hoping that I found all of the pieces. I've never carried a character for two and a half to three years before."
Jennifer Lawrence, 24
Project Rungay wrote, "It's one of the least objectionable Diors she's been forced into, and her styling is pretty gorgeous. Basically, a beautiful woman, well styled, in a drab dress that would look downright ugly to us in a different situation."
On first accepting the role of Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer said: "We all had an idea of how big this was going to be, which is why I took a few days before I said yes, and really thought about what I wanted. Saying yes to this was going to completely change my life."
Peyton List, 16
Hollywood Life wrote, "Peyton is always one we love to watch on the red carpet, because she loves to try new trends and silhouettes - and that’s just what she did for the glam night. Clad in a pretty plaid dress and black sandals from, the star looked premiere perfect."
Willow Shields, 14
FashionStyle wrote, "Willow made others green with envy as she donned a breathtaking mint-colored gown with a rise-and-fall hemline and lengthy train."
Is Jennifer kind of like a sister to you? Willow: "Yeah, definitely! As I've gotten older though, she's become more of a really great friend to me, a great friend and a mentor. Growing up alongside her has been really fun."
This premiere was the first red-carpet event for newcomer Erika Bierman, 13, who has a small role as the unnamed granddaughter of the lead villain, President Snow, played by Donald Sutherland. On working with him, Erika said: "Um, he's, like, you kinda look up to him as a god, like, yeah, a god, like Zeus or something."
