Fanning the Dragon

I wanted to give a quilt to the only friend I have left from my high school days. So I asked her what she wanted. "Something Asian" Well, that didn't tell me much so I was pretty much on my own on this one. ( And here is the final result. )

I just finished reading Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, and he talks about how it takes 10,000 hours of doing something to become an expert. Well, I think the only thing I've done in my life for 10,000, besides the normal eat, drink, and sleep, is sewing. And it still tickles me when my projects come out this good.
