Hello!

Well, the first two were in Arizona and Wisconsin, actually. :)

OH GOD YOU HAVE NO IDEA. THE AUTHORS WENT NUTS. Not the fans. AUTHORS. And it's not just one author. THEY ALL WENT CRAZY AT THE SAME TIME, TROLLING FANS AND MANIPULATING AMAZON AND SHIT.

The first five wanks are here:
http://cuddlebuggery.blogspot.com/2012/01/first-five-days-on-goodreads.html?m=1

Then more here:
http://cuddlebuggery.blogspot.com.au/2012/01/wank-fest-continues.html

All of those have pages of reading that should keep you occupied for the next hundred years or so.

And it's not like it's one big wank, either. They are also apparently separate wanks that are unrelated to each other. Nobody has any idea why this all hit at once.

HELLO! :D

It seems a lot of people are moving to DW, but I'm still here (and most likely always will be). :)

I'm waiting for the Muppets movie to come out (just a few more weeks! Squee!); there's not really any other movie I want to see just now. But I *did* go and see Arthur Christmas (after Xmas; I was too busy BEFORE the holiday!), and it was excellent! :D I thoroughly recommend it ( ... )

I ain't movin' either. :)

I wondered about Arthur Christmas. Hmm. :)

There's an Aussie Con every other year: http://ausdwcon.org/ Woo!

Oh, man, I am so bad about being nocturnal, too. Trying to do better! Heh.

Congrats on your teaching qualification!

Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Nephew loves the turtle nightlight I got him (it shows constellations on the ceiling, in 3 colors that you can select)

We got our little boy one of these a while back, and the one you got must be the same one or an updated model - ours does blue, green and both. His big things are trains and turtles at the moment, so this has been hauled out of mothballs for a second go.

As for films, the last thing I saw at the cinema was Deathly Hallows Part 2 and loved it (have perforce seen more Cars, Toy Story and other animated films than I want to think about!). At the moment am down on my knees begging Ridley Scott to just hurry up and release Prometheus already. If I'm right, it could reboot the Alien franchise in some very interesting directions.

Aww. :) Yes, his turtle has blue, green, and amber lights that you can select.

I...am ashamed to admit that I have only seen pieces of the first Alien movie. *hides*

Which pieces, I wonder? That classic scene where John Hurt meets his end?

And - amber lights? Must be the updated version.

Yeeeeees that scene, heh.

Yeah, they may have put out a new one. Apparently now it is part of the Permanent Bedtime Ritual. Awww. :)
