When I tried registering for classes on Oasis, the site said I couldn't register for one because it would exceed maximum credits, but the thing is with that class, the credits would equal 18 and I am currently taking classes which total to 18 credits. Anyone know how/if I can fix this? Thanks in advance.

Have you changed your major since the last time you registered? Science majors can register for more credits than non-science majors. If you haven't, Oasis is probably just being strange again, and I'd suggust going to talk to the registrar about registering for whatever class Oasis wouldn't let you register for.

18 is the limit, but OASIS maxes out at 17. You have to have your dean override it.

ditto the comment above. they changed it this semester (even if you're a senior, they used to be able to automatically do 18) because they want you to get permission to take a 5 class if you're a junior/senior. talk to your dean. they don't care at all. if you want 19 credit though it cost extra. 18 is the same.

I went to see the dean and he added the class for me in two seconds.

also, if you are taking a class towards your major.. your dean will excuse of the fee and allow 19 credits. for example, i was taking 17 credits (5 classes) and wanted to take a 2 credit journalism course (i am a communications major) so the fee was waived. however, if i were say a math major.. and wanted to take the same course.. i would pay for it.
