How do you tell someone you love dearly that they may not be making a great decision...without looking like you want to rain on their parade?  One of my best friends recently decided she wanted to return to school to get an MBA and go into the hospitality business.  All great and wonderful.  I need to do a little background on her for you, though ( Read more... )

It's a hard situation...one of those that makes you tear in two in decision. I can imagine all too well that while you don't want to intrude in your friend's choices etc., you don't want to see her going down a road that you can see will probably end in at least one tear.

I don't think you're being cynical; just concerned, which is perfectly understandable seeing as you care for her. I can't tell if your friend is making a bad choice as I'm not one to judge, but maybe just make a few light, subtle questions that make her stop to actually think about what she'd doing. The best way will probably be to let her do her own thing, but be her conscience if hers seems to have gone astray. At least then, if anything does go wrong, you can tell yourself that at least you tried. :)

*shrugs* Sorry, but I'm not terribly good at the advice-thing. I just go as my instincts tell me...:)

That's a hard one! Of course i have to say that she is making the most ambitious choice! But not the most realistic.
And yes ,how to tell a good friend that she is making the wrong decisions...i'm having the same problem , at this moment!

How can anyone hate ROME?????
