Yet again, my laptop has a virus.  This is the third time in about 18 months.  I always use antivirus software, firewalls, etc., and try not to visit shady websites or open weird attachments.  Yet somehow I ALWAYS get these damn things!  WTF!

Why do stupid a-holes feel the need to create these things?

This means that I probably have to call my ex-

I sympathise with you on the damn virus business. Fortunately, I've been hit with a sack of good luck as my dad's offered to buy me a new laptop (mine's currently enduring a slow and painful death, poor thing) and I just have to leave it to him and my brothers to whip up something. The men in my family were all blessed with technology-techiness which I haven't got so much! :P

It must be slightly awkward to ask the ex, but if it's for a good cause, then the end justifies the means! (does that sound like anybody you know? *cough* Lucius *cough* Death Eaters *cough*)

I am pretty good with technology, but the people who create these viruses know a lot more than me. For the moment it seems like I've conquered it on my own. Though, at the moment I'm in a shitty mood and kind of wishing the ex was here anyhow, and magically lacking all the flaws that made me break up with him. If only, right?

Viruses really show the extent of human stupidity, don't they? I mean, who could be bothered wasting time making something that would corrupt other people's happy tech time? They're a bit like the morons people encounter in fanfiction who make the damned effort to flame anonymously. (Saw a friend flamed the other day and didn't seem too fun) Makes me wonder how idiotic the human mind can get... :P
