On Fieldwork

I've probably already mentioned that my fieldwork placement is anything but convenient.  Now that I've found out specific details of where I will be, it's even more inconvenient.  I'm in 4 schools, 3 elementary, 1 middle.  Of course the school I am in the most (3x a week) is the furthest away.  On paper it's only 30 miles, but in practice, the ( Read more... )

Oh wow... I didn't know you were into therapy stuff! I was dreaming about becoming a psychotherapist but I've currently put that one on hold while I go off to uni doing a Creative Writing+Drama or English course.

The long drive does sound like a b*tch, but I guess working with kids makes up for it. There's something nice about being able to forget all the boring adult stuff and simply communicating using the more...simple way a child tends to use. Good luck with your time spent there! I hope you find it fulfilling! :)

Yeah, my first degree is in counseling psychology, so I've always been in this sort of career area.

The kids continue to be pretty good so I can't complain about them...yet. ;)
