Norma didn't ping all that hard on Ying's radar. Ying thinks she's an eager learner, but also horribly impatient. And she ALSO knows that she probably shouldn't bother seriously teaching her anything until she knows that Norma won't lose interest. So she's pretty much waiting to see if she's serious about learning sewing before actually taking her under her wing.

Ying isn't all that certain about Caesar, either. On one hand, he's interesting and fun to talk to, but on the other, it seems to her that Caesar is judging her. Why wouldn't he be, though? He asked for leaders, and Ying stepped up. But she's got the funny feeling that he's testing her, so she's almost afraid to screw up in front of him. Call it pride.

Ying both likes and feels sorry for Kisa. She's so soft-spoken and meek, and Ying kinda wonders wtf is up with that. But Kisa DOES seem to want to overcome that; she did come to Ying for fighting lessons, right? And as girly and meek as Kisa may be, Ying CAN respect that.

Simon is a different story. She started out thinking he was an arrogant jackass, thanks to her arguments with the last Simon. And even with you-Simon, she thought he had some superiority complexes she found irritating. But then, against her will, even, she started getting to know him, and started conspiring against Ryuuken with him, and even switched bodies with him, and she couldn't help but start liking him. The sword-cane was a symbol of that to her. A "Hey, I kinda like you now, you know? So have a present because I don't want to admit I might be wrong about you."

A LITTLE FROM COLUMN A, A LITTLE FROM COLUMN B, A LITTLE FROM COLUMN C.

Ying likes Lady. There are times that Ying thinks Lady's an idiot, but on the whole? She likes her. Lady's tough, she likes things that go boom, and she's an eager learner.

She sees Lady as a bit of a subordinate, really. Someone she knows better than and someone she can guide. Score!

HI THIS IS A BIT DISJOINTED SORRY. I CANNOT REALLY PUT IT INTO WORDS WEIRDLY ENOUGH.

Ying is EXTREMELY flattered by River. There's admiration, there's Admiration, and then there's what Ying gets a sense of from River. Ying's a bit thankful that she met River BEFORE she found out about that, otherwise she'd be constantly wondering if she only likes River BECAUSE of that admiration.

The rest was almost the start of an essay about why River pings Ying's "mommy" vibes, but it can really all be summed up in one sentence: "Ryuuken, Ying, Ishida, Simon, and River make a dysfunctional family."
