Robin stilled, paws poised over the keyboard, when he heard the tell-tale barks and whoops of a pack of hounds, surely the same that had chased them out of their camp just days before -- only this time, there was another member of the pack. Oh yes, he couldn't resist the chance to catch robin because he was the only one that actually knew what robin looked like right now. He shot off ahead of the pack, sharp nose searching for the sent of foxes-- there were a few that lead him nowhere but one... one smelled different. familiar. A low growl built in his chest as he bounded with it, wanting nothing more to find and maul it's source.

Robin ran and ran, but his sensitive ears picking up every footfall of the dogs, every shout of men, both friend and foe -- and, of course, Gisborne. The others headed in another direction, leading them away from Nettlestone, but the only dog that concerned him was closing in.

He was terrified, but he kept running, not knowing how long this tiny body could run or how far -- but would not be far enough, he knew it. Remembering Mikaela's suggestion of hiding in a tree, he scrambled up one gracelessly, taking refuge on the lowest branch, trembling. Too high, too high -- he didn't like it. But he knew he would like being torn apart less.

His growls turned into snarls and barks as he smelled his prey near, stronger, more intense, he was close, he was--

He skid to a halt, glancing around, panting hard. I can smell him, he was here, he was here, he had to be here, this is where it ended!] You're here. [He snarled -- nothing more than that to humans, but robin would understand him. His nose fell to the ground and he circled the area slow returning to the tree. And then it occurred to him; he looked up and his eyes narrowed. The barking returned and he attempted to hop and vault himself up into the tree but the branch was too high for him to reach.] Come here Robin!

No! Robin screeched, backing closer to the trunk of the tree, paws unsuited for climbing scrambling for purchase. I'm not coming down! He gave a hiss, wide ears flattening against his skull, unfamiliar cackles and cries issuing from his throat in fear. He'd stay up here the entirety of the virus if he had to, but God forbid if he were to willingly give himself up to the jaws of his enemy.
