Unless my math is off, your employer can not use section 556 to avoid paying you overtime on the 7th day as every hour on that day would be an hour over 30 hours for the week (5 hours * 6 day = 30 hours) or am I missing something here. This rule only works if you are only working 4 hours and 17 minutes a day.

Best part: You can't get fired for whistleblowing, though they can make you wish you'd quit.

My advice: Look for a new job, line up your ducks. When new job shows up, send ducks out on parade and reap the benefits of self defense.

Tomorrow is payday so I get to check my pay stub then, monday and tuesday I get off(finally!), although I have to go help open because the person I am training as another opener isn't fast enough at it yet, but 1 hr a day is /sooo/ much better than a full shift I won't complain...for now. Well that and since I will be clocking in on those days I will still be working 7 days, and so still get overtime on the 7th lol.
I will be spending at least a couple hours on my days off working on my resume so I can more effectively continue my job search. My reasons for taking the job still stand, a) a job is needed, and b) management experience is a definite plus for my resume. However after having been there for 2 months I will feel no compunctions about leaving for someplace that offers better pay and better hours ;P
