road trimming

I wanted to wait until Thursday to trim my fingernails, since I'd be in a rental car on the way to Kansas. I really liked the idea of leaving my fingernail clippings in a rental car. But this morning I decided I couldn't wait any longer. I trimmed them before breakfast ( Read more... )

You could take a nap in a field. Kansas is a nice place for that.

I might be freezing to death if I did that--unless the afternoon warmed up. I was looking at the weather in Northwest Kansas, and it's been in the 50's and 60's. I'm too acclimated to this desert.

It was good to see you the other day. (Was it Monday?) I hope you enjoyed your time at Bentley's.

It's not that I take any pride in my fingernail clippings. I just liked the idea of having someone else vacuum them up for me. I hate it when a task becomes two tasks--like clipping your fingernails becomes clipping your fingernails and vacuuming up the clippings. I get lazy when I'm confronted with compounded duties like that.

The only reason I enjoy my return to kansas road trips is XM radio...

Oh good... It's the only thing that makes the Tucumcari->Emporia leg bearable!!! Do you head north at Liberal?

We actually had a family reunion at a baptist camp north of Scott City this summer. I actually thought about you when we turned east on I-70 at Oakley! :)

My sister preferred to take the route that heads through Albuquerque, Trinidad, Colorado Springs, Limon, and then Colby. She was the only driver officially on the car rental agreement, so I let her decide which route she wanted to take.

I've still never made it down to Scott City. I think my friend joy1313 has some relatives down there, or maybe some friends--I can't remember.
