I read a column Timo Hildebrand once wrote for RUND magazine, and I have to say I was rather impressed.

I can't read German. Anybody give me a brief summary of what the column says?

Well, he basically reflects on how you can't always be nice to the fans even if you want to be because you're just a human being who sometimes has a bad day just like everyone else. I think he says how a woman wrote him a very angry e-mail because he hadn't taken the time to sign something for her little son who had driven 300 km to watch him play. Timo had been injured in that game and had to be off for treatment. Then he basically talks about how people won't grant you privacy in public and how everyone wants to have a little piece of you, even if it's just an autograph card, and that if you'd really rather be left alone, you're the arrogant bastard in the public's eyes. I hope this is enough :o)
