It would have to be a slow seduction, he decided, as Joachim was not one to be spontaneous - rumor was that the man chose his wardrobe days in advance, going through his many dapper outfits that he had somehow all packed into his suitcases before finally settling on what he deemed to be right. No doubt Joachim would also take his time to choose between his top two candidates for captaincy. But that was perfectly fine with Philipp, in fact the longer Joachim took to make his decision, the easier it would be for him to persuade his coach that he, and not Bastian, would be the right choice.
