Cristiano to come back to Manchester United?

Jul 10, 2006 10:19

This article says he's not.  Apparently I've heard that some English fans have gone as far as to pelt his house with a variety of items.  Whatever he decides to do, I'll still support him.  I'll just miss seeing him with Man Utd when they play.

player: c. ronaldo, player transfer

Ronaldo claimed: "For some time I haven't had any support from my chief executive (David Gill) or my coach (Sir Alex Ferguson). They should have come out in my defence but no-one did.

*hands him a crying towel*

Welcome to the big leagues, boy.

Same here. I just read an article that said he didn't know whether or not to return...he just said a lot of English fans hate him, but Fergie still wants him to stay.

This is all over the portuguese newspaper, so they basically say that English authorities don't advise him coming back, that they can't predict what the English fans will do besides vandalise his place and insult him left and right.

At this point, I think it's a given he really wants to run off to Spain.

I hope he toughs the whole thing out and sticks with Man Utd. But with all these various articles and such saying that he wants to go off and play for Spain, it seems likely that he will.

Recently though I heard that rumours stating he'd be going to Real were false.

Anyway, I don't think he should play for Man U, show those spoiled fans what's up. Yeah, he's a total brat and he's a bit annoying if you ask me, but I think he's a good player and what happened should be blamed on Rooney's mistakes. There's no reason for Ronaldo to go to the UK to get pelted by the ignorant fans who would be that violent.

I agree. Ronaldo is definitely a crybaby, but he is a good player. Rooney should have just ignored Ronaldo trying to but in and not let his temper get the better of him, but he didn't do that (just like Zidane should have ignored what comments were made to him yesterday). I wish he would stick it out at Man Utd personally, but if it's just going to continue spiraling out where his safety is going to be put in that much danger (which more than likely would be the case), then he should just leave.

*sigh*
english fans have taken it a little far if they've pelted his house.
its the WC. he's playing for HIS nations team. why would be agree with anything the english team did. he's out for his own team.
i don't get why that's so hard to understand.

I know. People just can't separate their clubs from their nationals teams and their national teams from their clubs. They have nothing to do with each other.
