My views on the book. :)

Ok. So I have just finished reading Deathly Hallows, and I am in an orgasmic state, to say the least, actually. I thought it was amazing. I went to the midnight release, and there were thousands of people and I took many pictures, but this post about the book comes first. I took two full nights to read it, mainly because my days were completely ( Read more... )

I was shocked when I read the Hedwig died. I had to read it twice over...I was sad by Mad-Eye's Death...pretty much distraught with Fred's (I had to stop reading for a bit) and then with Remus and Tonks...I wasn't surprised. None of the Marauders could've lived on, and Tonks was a part of Remus.

I love everything with the Malfoys. Hell yeah! They lived. LOL. But yeah, just finished, so I'm still processesing, I'll post on my LJ later.

I don't know about that. Reading it, it seems a little sloppy, almost, like she killed them as an afterthought and a "by the way". And most of the books were written from Harry's perspective, yes, but she strayed away from it completely in the sixth one, and then she strayed away from it every time we had to see something important that Harry didn't (killing the old man in the biginning of the fourth book, Snape vow to Narcissa etc).

The epilogue was ok - sweet. But I really wanted to know what happened to everyone. Who they worked as, what happened to their parents and relatives, and what happened to the rest of the DA

There is a man who single-handedly demonstrates the deepest, strongest, and the most selfless kind of love.

Selfless? I'm not so sure. He hated James and Harry. If he really was selfless, he should at least appreciate them because they were people Lily loved and made her happy.

See ya,
Anna.

Hm.. Actually, I think that's what shows his selflessness. He couldn't help being jealous and bitter towards them, but he stepped over that to protect Harry and do everything, despite his hate, for Lily's sake. :)
