I really enjoyed this. Sam never lost faith in Cas, even after everything Cas said or did to him. SO canon.

Yep! Even when Sam questioned Castiel thinking maybe he could have returned him without his soul on purpose, he still ended up believing in him enough to pray to him after all, that in an attempt to make things right. I love Dean and Castiel's relationship, but I always feel bad that Sam and Cas' is overshadowed a lot despite what an interesting one it is. Especially because they really do parallel each other a lot.

I usually don't like first person POV in fanfiction, but you pulled it off so well I didn't really notice it at all.
I love the call-backs to older episodes. It was done perfectly.

Thanks a ton! I usually don't like first person either, but when I considered how to tackle this, I thought this was probably the best way to present it with the material I had in mind for the fanfic; it was a little more intimate, concerning the callbacks, to me. I'm glad you liked it!

This was wonderful. I love Sam&Castiel as much as I love Sam/Castiel, lol. This was perfect for their friendship. How Sam continues to give Castiel forgiveness because he knows how big that is after what he's been through. And Castiel breaking through Heaven's control for his Winchesters. I love it!

Much appreciated! I always loved the idea that Sam forgave so much quicker because he and Castiel have 'fucking up while trying to do the right thing' in common way too often. It's something Dean really can't understand, since he's been pretty good at avoiding major fuck-ups... somehow... :|a
