Awww! This didn't seem long at all! I was so caught up in their story, that I didn't notice the length until I looked up after to see the word count.

Also, it's TOTALLY romancey! Why would you not think it was? I actually think you nailed paranormal romance, and from such an interesting, unique angle. Well done!

You were complaining to me that it was SO LONG, but I think, with the way it was written, you probably could've gone on forever. Actually, when I was reading it, I was like, "Wait... it's already over?!" In fact, I'd sort of like for you to expand on this. It felt like you chopped the end off with a guillotine. ;3; I was sort of thinking that it would be easy to expand on the possession aspect of the relationship; i.e., what that would be like for lovers...

(And in the way of errors, I spotted a couple that could easily be taken care of with a reread. /most unhelpful beta ever)

Yeah, looking back on the actual writing process, everything flowed really easily, and I only really started freaking out about the word count after I had easily passed the 6000 mark. I was mostly worried that what I was writing was only interesting to me, and everyone else would be complaining about how everything dragged on when they read it. It's glad to know that the flow transfers over to the reading process as well.

The ending is abrupt for three possible reasons, I think: 1) I was on a time limit, 2) if I kept going, I don't think Toby and Jake would ever stop, and 3) I was running out of ideas. In fact, I'm not sure how I could expand all of this. I was thinking of maybe doing something from Jake's POV, so that I could figure out how he thinks better, but besides that, I've got nothing. So...maybe, when I get inspired, I'll keep going? (But lol that can also mean that I never look at this again.)

oh man, I feel silly having waited so long to read this, but I really enjoyed it! I agree that you nailed the genre and the whole system you set up with ghosts and vessels and the training program was very cool. Nicely done :)

Thank you. It's nice to be getting all the reassurance that I got the genre down correctly. :]
