...I was feeling REALLY ANGRY AND STABBY ABOUT THAT WHOLE THING, but the last thing I read was the whole side conversation about Judaism as an ethnicity with the two people participating realizing they are coming from different traditions and being like OH IS THAT HOW IT IS IN REFORM JUDAISM? THAT EXPLAINS OUR DIFFERENCES let's talk about conversion ideology! is kind of warming my heart.

Also, yes, ST fandom is brilliant and I love it. All fandoms have this shit going on, it'd be a shame to throw the baby out with the bathwater, as someone said. Also, more cool people means its more likely crap will get called out.
