revenge of the Yuletide
This is only a super-quickie rec list, as I haven't had time to read everything I would like just yet, but I cannot contain my squee about these three any longer.
First up, my present: Frozen Assets, Warehouse 13
Pete and Myka run into trouble retrieving an artifact from the Titanic, unaware their efforts are causing a mess of Titanic proportions at the warehouse.
As I said in my comment on the fic: ::DRAWS HEARTS AROUND THIS:: I asked for Claudia being awesome, with bonus points for the Titanic stuff, and holy hell does this deliver. Artifact tag! Claudia saving the day! MRS. FREDERICK! Artie thinking he's in charge and the ladies going 'not so much'!
(Sweeter Than the Sweetest) Cherry Pie, Bernard and the Genie
There's still something missing from Bernard's life, and it turns out it isn't a girlfriend. Or the Mona Lisa.
I nominated this fandom with, I must confess, even less hope of actually seeing fic than I had for Villains By Necessity last year. But I talked someone else into requesting, and four people not me offered to write it; this answers the other person's request, but seeing the fandom on the tag list has had me squeeing for days now.
As for the fic itself, it's a lovely fix-it to where the show breaks off. I can actually hear Lenny Henry, when it comes to Josephus' lines, and this is a character who says things like 'my ears want to mate with this music and have its children!' AND THERE IS KEPPLE, still telling his random-ass lies without missing a beat.

I had the immense pleasure of hippo-beta-reading* this one, and it's still a joy. Dirk Gently acquires a hat and tries to spread intriguing rumors regarding its origin; the last of these comes back to bite him in the ass, as many things do in Dirk's life. It feels very much like something that could be in one of the books, though it's more the story of how he hit on holistic detective work in the first place.
*'Hippo' being the Yuletide IRC chatroom people who coordinate beta-readers without making the author lose anonymity in said chat.
